Can't lose the Load On Demand!

Hi All.

I'm new here at Orphalese and like it very much although I've had a few problems so far. I've got another one now that I can't seem to remedy or find anything helpful in the Help File so I'm hoping someone here can tell me what to do. A few days ago I downloaded several decks. In Deck Management I created a subfolder in the Packs folder and named it Oracles. I had put the Oracle decks into it and I'd clicked the Load On Demand option in the drop down menu. Later when I clicked on My Decks in the Main Menu all that pops out is the Load On Demand box.
I decided I didn't want to use that feature as I couldn't see my decks then on the Main Menu. I got back to Deck Management and tried to uncheck the LOD option but it wouldn't. Needless to say I ended up just deleting the Oracles subfolder thinking that would solve the problem. It didn't. And now when I try and create ANOTHER NEW subfolder and even name it something else the LOD option is ALREADY enabled in the drop down menu! So I've deleted it too and just have the default Packs folder in the left pane. The real problem is I can't get rid of the Load On Demand box in My Decks on the Main Menu! I want the default option back so I can see my decks and use that section. Can someone HELP?!

Thanks so much,

Can't lose the Load On Demand!

Hi addtochaos,

I am not sure what is happening there for you, or why the setting seems to be getting remembered like that, but I will explain the way it works and then you will have a workaround even if you can't unset the option using the program.

When the menu loads up it checks each folder to see if it contains a file called load.dat. This file doesn't contain anything at all, it just acts as a flag to the program to say not to load the folder into the menu. These files are marked as system files, so you would have to have the Show hidden or system files option checked in Explorer in order to see it. If you delete this file the folder will show up normally on your My Decks list.

In the deck management form these folders are shown in grey type, while the others are shown in black. You should be able to make the program delete the dat file for you just by unchecking the load on the demand option on the pop-up menu, but I guess that is what is not working for you...Maybe you could give it another go first before deleting the file manually and confirm that?

Cheers,
Richard
