Orphalese Tarot Zone Community Forum

Greetings!

Wow, so excited, I just got the program this evening. I cant believe I never heard of this b4, tho. When I googled tarot software it came up, but not under yahoo.
Nevertheless, I have been doing tarot personally since 1990 & my fav decks are motherpeace, tarot of the ages, osho zen, medicine cards, daughters of the moon (old b/w version!) sometimes runes & angel cards. Mostly from self-help therapy point of view (love Mary K Greer)and do it daily and travel with some decks when I go out as well. I had no idea tarot combined with software could be used like this- I usually put serious readings in notebooks.
I definitely will use this program and thanks so much for having it at an affordable price.

I am soul searching & changing careers now. Doing astrology online is one goal and now with this,

1)I wonder is there a possibility to do tarot for others with the Ophalese prog? Do I need a commercial liscense in order to charge?

2)Can I use yahoo email to mail - instead of outlook(if not for sale, then for pers use) to mail readings, & if so how is that configured? I couldnt determine from the help section.

3)I love motherpeace- do I have to scan the images myself or are they somehow available already in the share section?

Hi Golden Hoops and welcome.

1. One of the nicest things about Orphalese is the ability to send a screen image via e-mail. Ctrl + E from the menu. If you want to do something more than that, you need to ask Richard.

2. Pass - I don't do Yahoo, sorry.

3. The Motherpeace images are copyrighted and I don't think that Orphalese have permission to re-produce them here. You can certainly scan your own cards and include them in the program. Please let me know if you need any help on this.

Just did some checking on the Mother Peace deck - it is issued by US Games and Orphalese cannot distribute the images. Very sorry about that but hey! scanning your own cards is fun and you have the quality control. Incidentally, I did not own this pack myself, but I have taken a look at the images on-line and I think they are wonderful. It will definitely be on my shopping list!

Glad you are enjoying the program!

I don't think you are alone in not having heard of it though. It is something I have developed in my spare time over the last few years and it has never been advertised, so anyone who knows about it has heard of it by word of mouth or via that Google search. I have no idea why Yahoo still haven't found the site after four years

Anyway, with regard to the email question, when you send a reading from the program it doesn't use any external email program. Really it would be better if it did, because you would have a record somewhere in Sent Items, but nowadays email programs resist any attempt to manipulate them from outside (for obvious security reasons) so the program just bypasses them and sends the reading itself using standard email protocols. I would suggest that you save the screen capture (there is a button for doing that) and the attach it to a conventional email using your program of choice.
