Hello All,
Both versions are working better. The change in options helped both version 10 and 11 close properly. It no longer has a pop up that gives me the option to cancel my request, but that dose not seem to be a problem.
I greatly appreciate your response to my inquiries. I am working on a more detailed reply with what is now working and some other issues. But I wanted to install Ver 11.0.0.6 and work with it before I finish my reply. I will be installing today on my laptop.
Thank you again,
David

Re: Version 11 Beta Released!
Thank you both, again! (And be sure to read the last paragraph :))
I am working on my laptop. I downloaded the new version and retrieved by 36 alpha-numeric registration code. I was able to complete registration on this laptop PC, but I could not delete other registrations. It is OK as only three are active, but one is a duplicate. I also was unable to install any new decks. It displayed a pop up screen that said I was on a "trial version" and that the deck exchange was not allowed. Let me know what I should do.
There are a couple other issues with ver 11, I have questions on that I thought I would share:
1. To do a spread, I cannot use the toolbar. The Spread Menu does not show my created spreads. I have to click the list menu as I do in ver 10. This is not a problem, but I thought the toolbar was designed to make actions easier. Perhaps I am missing something.
2. The same is true for the Reading Menu in the toolbar. I cannot see my previous readings unless I use the list menu like in ver 10. Perhaps I am missing something here, as well.
3. When I am in the "Create a New Reading" window I am not sure how to activate the "Align" and "Equalize" functions. I see the buttons are highlight and I can click them But even if I move the cards out of alignment, when I click the align or equalize function, I do not see any change. All the other features seem to work properly. What am I missing.
4. When I export notes to RTF, it does not display the cards in the same order as the reading. It appears to be rendering the spread in reverse (card 3 is first, then two, then card 1). It shows 1, 2, and 3 properly in the image, but when I export, it changes the order. The spread display to the right of the card is accurate, but I will have to cut and paste everything to put it in the correct order.
That is all for now. I continue to enjoy utilizing both versions and learning more about the program nearly every day. I see this program as a wonderful tool for teaching Tarot as well and doing readings. The Compare Cards feature is a wonderful tool to display multiple decks together and review their similarities and differences. This would work great on a video presentation as well as in-person class. The deck exchange is also a great feature for people to sample so many decks "live" and get a feel for how they resonate with them before purchasing a deck. The online reviews of Tarot decks usually only sample a few cards for each deck unless you fide a YouTube video that does a full review. This is good as well, but does not allow the comparative features that are offered with Orphalese Tarot. I realize that I am preaching to the choir, but I feel it is worth saying.
Thank you again. And if there is a way to send a donation....could I purchase another registration and enter a "user defined" amount if it exceeded the User License? Or can you email me your PayPal account name/number that I can just send directly. I know it will not increase the time you can spend on this project, but I will know I have contributed to your efforts. Also, I will feel better about commenting, giving suggestions, and asking questions in the forum.

Re: Version 11 Beta Released!
Version 11 is in total Beta, so everything that is in 10 hasn't yet been converted over.
So if it isn't there, it's not "moved" yet.
If something is there, and doesn't work as expected then you can let Richard know.
You don't need to delete the other registration as it should still work with version 10.
For the items that are "there" I'll leave the response to Richard

Re: Version 11 Beta Released!
Richard, I can't seem to get a new registration. None of the email addresses I've tried are "found."

Re: Version 11 Beta Released!
Thank you again for both of your replies. I am working with ver 10 more and reviewing all the HELP material. I am getting more familiar with the program and learning all its features. There is the HELP in the program and the website, orphalesehelp.com. That is a wonderful site that Linda developed. I decided I need to become more familiar with the program in all its glory. Then I can better appreciate ver 11 and hopefully find some way to help. Namaste!

Re: Version 11 Beta Released!
Hi David,
Thanks for all those observations, it is great to have someone using the beta and pointing these things out so there's no need to apologise - quite the opposite in fact! When you are programming something new it is hard to see the wood for the trees, so please don't hold back at all in posting any problems you encounter.
Most of the points you raise are obviously bugs or oversights on my part, but as far as the issue with aligning tops/lefts and equalizing space is concerned it might be because the operation isn't very intuitive. First of all you have to "lasso" the cards you want to adjust by clicking and dragging around them. This should create a rectangle which, when you release the mouse, selects all the cards that intersect with it. These cards should then be highlighted in yellow. That's when you should press those buttons to align the tops, equalize the horizontal spacing etc. You can also use this lasso mode to move the selected cards around the screen in a block.
I should have a few days near the beginning of October to work on the program, so I will look at the other issues then and hopefully bring out a new version by the end of the second weekend.
It is very kind of you to be so insistent about donating. I will email you the PayPal account details. Even though it won't speed the process up any donation will be very much appreciated, of course

Re: Version 11 Beta Released!
Originally when I installed the beta, I was able to have both the beta and 10 open at the same time. Now I'm not, I'm not sure if that is intentional or not.
I have noticed a difference in gathering cards.
In 10 no matter where I've last click Ctrl-G works.
In 11 I have to have last clicked on a card for it to work.
It's not a big deal, just different so I'm not sure if that is intentional or it's something to do with the ribbon.

Dear Richard,
Yes, please email me the account to donate to.
I am enjoying reviewing all the HELP material from the HELP website (orphalesehelp.com) and the tutorials on purple_scorp's Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@purple_scorp146). The channel has a few more videos than what are linked to the HELP website. I am hoping to create a User Manual that can be used for teaching. This process is also a great way to better learn your program. My goal is to lead an introductory class on Tarot - with a focus on the OSHO Zen Tarot deck. I believe your program will make a great tool for teaching. I have been studying astrology and tarot for years, but have not been able to apply my knowledge well. I find tarot more intuitive and easier to grasp. Your program has helped stimulate my interest. I am hoping my motivation continues. Helping to support your efforts helps me as well. Thank you again.
