I've just installed 7.2.3 under XP without problem. Since I don't have any deck handy, I uploaded a XP Tarot icon set using the new DExB (Deck Exchange Browser), even I do not see tools for marking the upload as Other Files. It appears correctly on the list, but since there's only ICO files inside the ZIP, there's no preview. While testing this, I clicked on the Config button, hoping to have more options: as a result of this, I have now a Resource String Not Found folder on my deck category tree that I can't delete.
After this, I uploaded another set of icons using the old deck exchange, Other Files section, and it appears OK in blue on the DExB, also with no preview for same reason explained above. I have some other icon sets ready, I will use the old tool for uploading them in a minute...

Hi Shari

With the refresh exercise, does the program manage to download any of the date uploaded dates before the error occurs? What I mean is, do you have any dates in the second column in the list, or is it all blank?

I wonder if you could try uploading again on the problematic machine in about five minutes time? I want to try to see if I can catch the error that is occuring.

Thanks!

Now this is really wierd.. maybe it's operating system specific... Dominatrix what version of XP are you using? I know my nephew had issues with the media version. Actually I think we were instrumental in M$ writing an upgrade cuz we would not go away .-)

Anyway.. on my XP-Home upgraded to 7.2.3 and the DExB showed up under the Resources string... folder. Did an upload again received the same errors, and the message box still shows on the screen. It's the The program will now perform... one I have to close to get rid of it.. and all 3 decks are showing in the ODEx but not in the DExB, and I don't see dates... but I'll give it another minuet or two and try them both again...

Hope you caught it! Same thing for test4 this is on the XP-Home laptop machine. Got all the same errors. The XP-Pro machine is still not showing anything for the DExB after full install.

Aha...but I see that Test3 and Test4 are there, so in fact you didn't have any trouble uploading them right? The errors are not with uploading, just with refreshing and getting the dates - is that right?

If I must believe the System information at Control Panel, it's XP Home Version 2002 with Service Pack 2 and WindowsUpdate compliant. Richard knows already about the Resource String Not Found, and this means some glitch on the system used for translating on-the-fly OT using external database XML files (gee, after all I'm the Spanish translator, I know this!).

I plan to update Orphalese on laptop this evening, but I do not expect mahor trouble...

Now I'm not sure if I tried this before... can't remember, but I refreshed on the XP-Pro (desktop) machine and I received a nice little box saying it was refreshing, got a bing and there they were including my test decks and the date column has dates :o)

I'm opening the XP-Home and I'll see what it's doing... still got the same thing on that machine.

Yes I'm able to upload, and they are showing in the ODEx and now I can also see them in the DExB on the Pro desktop machine, so it seems to be an issue with the exchange itself and my laptop machine.
