Nope..I think Whipsilk has found that ant.
If you do it the way he says...free selection....then edit notes...then spread notes have vanish even if the mark is ok.
if you do the spread from deck as normal....the option for spread notes is back too:)
I think he has a point to put spread notes first.

OK, I can see it for myself now. Actually Whipsilk made it very clear that the bug was only occurring in Free Selection Mode. That is what comes of doing ones emails etc at four o'clock in the morning! I will see if I can get this fixed for the next beta release on Sunday.

Guys,
Just to say that the 7.2 beta I uploaded today fixes
a) the bug with the spread notes not showing when the spread was laid out in FSM and
b) the bug with the program not applying correctly the user's chosen order for the three types of notes in the reading.
Cheers
Richard

Hi Richard,
you wrote:
I am not quite clear how I would keep the exchange data up to date when users move decks around, as they almost certainly would after using a bulk download. I could code it so that this happens when people move decks using the program's built in deck manager, but what if they use Explorer? I think what I will do is build a Map Decks wizard that goes through both collection and database offering possible matches (so The Fractal Universe would be offered as a match for Fractal Universe etc).
Firstly, I'm really out of the loop at the moment because I've not been able to visit here much, so pardon me if I suggest something that has already been suggested and discounted. Or similarly if I suggest something that's inplausible because of something else you've written and I've not seen.
This is in regard to your deck management system (which I can't wait to play with - tho it will have to be on my home computer until we can sort my other problem out!)
Can you, perhaps in the xml file, give each deck a number or code system to identify the deck. Then, regardless if people rename it, your search can be on the code (which never changes), rather than the name?
And, in your deck manager software, can you have a file that cumulatively builds information each time you download a new deck. It would check to see if the identification code exists in that file and would work independently of moving, deleting, or renaming decks???
