This one is mostly for Willowsheart...
People might have noticed that there are three sets of smilies one can use in one's messages. The MSN style ones which appear on the right when you are typing a message, the custom ones that you came up with, and the standard ones that come with the Bulletin Board software package which the Forum uses. I have noticed that when I double click on the MSN style "basic" smiley I end up with the default one instead. Do you know if there is a way of fixing this?
If we changed the smileys, for example if we just got rid of the default BB ones, what would happen with the messages that people have posted in the past - would the graphics just disappear from messages where they have been used before?
BTW, I know that the MSN ones we are using are kind of messy because they don't have transparent backgrounds. They are the only ones I could find in a hurry. If I get the time I would like to update them, which raises the same question about old messages - do you have any idea about this?
Cheers!

Re: Smilies
Hi Richard
I will go in and check that the short cuts for each smilie are different, there may be a few I missed, bad me
Once each are assigned different short cuts we shouldn't have any problems.
As for the ones already used but coming up with the default ones that come with the board, once I assign a different code for it the smilie should change to the MSN smilie so I don't see that being too much of a problem.
I hope this makes sense lol I'll take a look tomorrow and get this fixed

Re: Smilies
The smilies across the top, do not go into the post, they go next to the post name or title, they may only show up with the 1st post, not sure about that. I believe when you change the smilies assigned to the short cut, it puts the new ones in, even for old post.

I couldn't get it to do what is happening to you though.
