I have been unable to use the file exchange this afternoon, nothing wants to share with me although all the decks (766) are listed there I cant download any of them
I think one of the problems with the File Exchange at the moment is it often takes a long time to connect, and it looks like nothing is happening, so people can easily get the impression that nothing is happening and close the window. It is one of the things I want to sort out in the next release.
The same happened to me today. At first the list would come up and when I clicked the dl/share button it would give me a message saying there was non response. I tried again later and the list itself is not showing up.
The list is not available today (19 Aug 2008) because I am transferring the Exchange to a new server. Hopefully it will be available again in a few hours. Those who want to use the Exchange will have to download a new version of the program.
This new version, which will be released later today, contains some nice new features besides improvements to the Deck Exchange, so I think it will be worth installing just for that.
For the past couple of days every time I try the file exchange it says user off line when I try to look at decks. When I first upgrated the program, it worked fine and I was able to look at and dl decks. Is it just that everyone is off line????
Programmer wrote:(snipped...) I fear some users may not be having such luck, because the server application has been down for several hours at a time on a couple of occasions recently (symptom = decks are listed, but every link returns "user has probably logged off"). I am working on fixing the bugs that are causing that, but I don't think I am quite there yet.
