Deck share error

Post by WebWeaver »

Just thought I'd let you know about this error. I was searching for any animal decks and received this error:
GettingDecks: Object reference not set to instance of an object.

I have to close the deckshare and reopen it. It won't let me change the search or do anything else.

Deck share error

Post by Programmer »

Hi Shari,

Thanks for pointing that out. It turned out to be easy to get the same error (just search for anything that doesn't return any results). It was also easy to fix, but unfortunately I had already embarked on another set of changes, to do with the Add Decks form - making it easy to select and update multiple decks at once. These changes aren't really tested enough to release yet, so it might be a couple of days before the fix to the search problem appears, along with the other changes. In the meantime, the workaround is just not to use the search button. Right now I see that at the moment there are 244 decks available, which is a pretty easy number to browse through.

Cheers,
Richard

Deck share error

Just to say I have now uploaded version 6 of the beta which doesn't have the search bug which Shari mentioned, and does have a cool new Add Decks form which lets you select and update multiple decks, e.g. to flag them all as tarot decks, give them all a warning flag, etc etc, rather than having to do it one deck at a time.
