Hi,
I was wondering about the varied responses that I got (and didn't get!) to my Hi All query. You refered to things in the past that having only recently joined I'm not aware of. Did I stir up something/bring up the past in a way I should not have?
I have attempted to respond to things said by Christine and Aurora but haven't really gotten any response. Have I offended anyone?
Have I offended you in any way?
If so for any and all, I apologise. I didn't realize that I had. I have a lot of ideas, most of which don't work out, and a few of which (sometimes Very few) which do. Even Gisela has been responding differently, perhaps more distantly.
I realized that many people only registered the program for the deck exchange, or even to spy, but I just sort of fell over the program, while wandering around the internet one night.
If you wonder about my reasons for posting that query, ask Richard. He and I have been discussing things such as the articles, and an art project for the otz. That's why I made the comment about your froggy deck and did your wife do some type of needle point.
Sorry,
Marvin

Hi Marvin,
You gave no offense, but I think it's important to remember that most of us can only get on the forum for a few minutes at a time, and that irregularly, so we tend to breeze through, hit the high spots and we're gone. I know when I leave a post I start expecting a rapid response, but one may not come for days, or at all, and it doesn't mean I did anything wrong. It just means folks are busy enjoying all the riches here and elsewhere. Take heart, you're okay.
Hugs
Gisela

Hi, Marvin:
Grid knows how difficult is sometimes to write in a foreign language it's not your mother one, and say exactly what you want to say... You haven't offended anyone, nor me. If you ask me, you look like a nice chap to me and a valuable resource here. I put special effort in making clear I do not consider you a Internet troll or something related. Sorry if you misunderstood my words. That past you don't know about involves someone that came here as a nice and talkative fellah, like you do, but unfortunately turned on someone so much needed of love and esteem. And that was hurting for all. I guess this is not your case, but if you have certain experience in the worlds of esoterica (and I'm sure both of us got'em), you'll know sometimes you must be careful. That's all.
If I were upset, I would not be replying this, take that for granted. As Gisela said, everybody loves to see an answer to their posts, or decks in my case. I do all this because I enjoy it a lot personally, not for the fame or the reward, and because I feel like home in here. I just want to maintain this, no more, no less. Collaboration offers more than confrontation, that's almost a mantra for me. And my sincere collab is open to everybody here, including you.
BTW, you're not the only diabetic here... Best.

Re: Re: Dominatrix can I take my foot in my mouth?
Hi,
Yes, unfortunately, I have seen the politics, bickering, and general childish behavior of the esoteric/magic community.
In chinese/japanese/korean groups, it often led to actual blood shed because everyone wanted it their way or no way at all. (sad!)
When I was a student, we were taught that it was One way toward personal growth, (in this case, Hard Knocks!) but that there were Many ways to the same goal. Now, I teach my students, share/commune with friends, and play the hermit :-} to everyone else in that community.
And, yes! In this being diabetic actually helps! I'm no Threat to the ego trips, who want to rule the world (at least in their own minds!)
Please, let's change the subject to something we both like a lot better.
What do you think about my new runic deck? I started playing with the filters in psp 5, (and searching for new ones!) I'd like to learn more about creating a Marble effect for the background, or a interlaced vine effect.
I have a friend who does Moorish style knotwork, I'll have to call him up!
(He just got divorced, maybe it will cheer him up!)
(BTW, this is part of what I was talking to richard about, for the new forum catagories, where we could talk shop about decks, but (I see now!) that I had probably not spoken specifically/got too far afield from just divination decks or actually reading.
Oh! I've forgotten to ask you! What do you think about spreads? Especially how they show off a deck for public readings? This is what I do a lot of, for many of the people I know who read cards. For private readings, I work more on the extracting information aspect, but I have done both.......
This is part of why I was wondering why Christine hadn't written or commented about the spreads that I had uploaded, especially after her original message. I had attempted to upload some of my small and large spreads so that she had some examples of both ranges of the spreads form my collection. (Funny hoy we start out with one deck, one spread, and suddenly, it's a Collection! (LOL).
What would you think about somewhere down the line discussing a pictoral rune deck, closer in size to a cartomancy deck, with much more modern card explanations? (I'm not Asatru in religious bent, and I want to bring it more into our time as it were.)
Later,
Marvin
PS: Who else is diabetic? (If I'm not intruding!)

Re: Re: Re: Dominatrix can I take my foot in my mouth?
Hi, Marvin:
Discussion is always good when it's well done, and I'm pretty sure we're doing right in here. Let's check rest of the users and Programmer too, and let's see what happens. Decks, Program and Bugs are keeping everybody's hands full, and Deck Exchange is becoming another unnoficial forum since Richard allowed comments to uploaded deck.
There's filtres for creating marble effects (I use'em often), like Eye Candy 4000 from Alien Skin (www.alienskin.com). If not, you can always use a stoney texture, please conduct a Marble Texture on Google Image Search and you'll find a lot of suitable background graphics for your project. If you liked the TrueType runes at www.dafont.com, don't you forget to check the Dingbats > Shapes area for fonts very suitable for framing your cards. The whole combo of runes at WWPCM (just for inspiration) is located at http://www.gambler.ru/sukhty/shop/runes.htm (8 decks total).
I like spreads and I've generated some, but I'm not very good at them. Normally I prefer to arrange the cards one by one following my own procedures: old habits die hard. Design is my only ability (if any), so I leave spreads for people more seasoned in readings than me. I can cope with thousands of decks, but too much spreads tend to overhelm me a little.
The pictorial rune deck is a nice idea: I did a rune set a long ago, apart from the one I revamped last day. I'm not an expert on runes, but with the proper guidance, I can produce something nice-looking. Gee, if I was able to make the Albareda Tarot and I survived to it, I can do anything! Take into account the transparency option too, it is very easy to implement.
PS: The other diabetic? Sadly, just me, my fern... DMII and I'm not into insuline injection, but it was a bitter experience on my debut...
