Osho Zen card data

Post by Aurora »

Hi Richard!

I was checking the card data of the Osho deck that I downloaded some months ago to the Card data.xml Files, and they are different from the one I downloaded. They are not the Osho card data. Something happened?
Can you delete the notes? I will download again the correct one.

Hi Aurora,

OK, that is done! It looks like you had a had uploaded an old version of the file. The funny characters were formatting characters. The program used to store the notes in that form, but now they are stored in plain text.

I'm not sure whether this is the right place to post this query.

I downloaded the Osho Zen to find that the card descriptions are in Spanish (I think). I don't speak or read Spanish of course :).

How can I delete these notes, or get the English version?

Apologies if I've missed something simple and thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Kate, Nice to meet you:)

Now for the question. As you know we are a multi national community and it will not be the last time that you find Notes in another language. Lucky for you on this one, Aurora have also translated it into English. You find this file in the cardata.xml files. When found, just hit the download button up left, agree that you want to overwrite your file and that should be it:)
Good luck:)

Thnk you Rhutobello ~

I can find a reference to Aurora's English translations but can't seem to find the file itself. There is probably a simple step I'm not doing. Can you help any more?

Thank you :)

Same problem here. I found the file name in English, but when I clicked on the title Osho Zen Tarot, I got nothing but a black screen at right, no text there at all. Clicking on Download in upper LH corner also proved proved useless.

Thanks,

This is very strange! I just went to check, did a search on osho in the CardData section and got the Osho Zen Deck, also it displayed fine, in English.

Sue, could you check that in fact you can see any card data files (the page might be black for a second while the file loads, but then it should be black with white writing)? It is odd that it works for me and not you, but of course you know that stranger things have happened because you have helped me fix some of them!

Kate, could you check the same thing - i.e. is it a generalised problem with CardData files or is it just this one? Either way, if you still can't get to it I can send it to you, I happen to have a copy in English myself - just let me know.

Thanks :)

Thanks for the reply :).

The first time I downloaded the deck there was mention of card data filed but I can't remember what it said.

I could not find the files you mentioned in your reply here, Richard, so I downloaded the whole deck again. This time I have the English translation.

Don't know what happened but everything is fine now.

By the way, this is a wonderful program. Thanks so much for all the work you have put into making it something special - and your whole team, too :).

Thx to you too Kate, since you asked for the deck I had to investigate for it, and found that I had not seen or downloaded it before....it's a Gem and A very big thx to Aurora for all her works with cardfiles:)

Back to finding files for deck you download from Deckexchange.

(This is in general and will hopefully also help other)

The best way to look for those Card data files is in CardData.xml Files.

But here you must learn the search option, or you will be lost:)

First you find language......English for this exsample
Second...ass Deck name... keep blank for this exp
third ..description keep blank for this exp
and how many to display say 200 for this exp

Now you will find a list of all card files.

Then let us narrow it a bit.

You know the deck you are looking for is called Osho Zen.
In order to search for this, you put into the deck field as little as nessesary, this will prevent writing error etc, space error and so on.

If you put in only: Osho
Then The program display Osho Tarot.

If you put in Oracle, the program display 5 -6 diffrent Oracle deck.
and so on.

I will also point out to users of Orphalese that we are trying to put together a user group. This to take on the work to put in carddata files on deck where such are missing, we hope you all are willing to attend. This way we might give something back to those few useres who contribute with a lot here in the zone, a big thx to you all:)
