Ver. 7.02 Deck Exchange not able to download decks

Post by Alisa »

I am getting error messages when download from this new Deck Exchange.

Once you select a deck to download, it first asks me to log in (thought I already did that when open the program), then when I select a deck to download, it will create an empty file, and nothing gets downloaded, and I get an error message:

Not able to access C: drive to upzip file, being used by another program. Unable to download any of the decks.
Is this issue being resolved? ugh......

Hi Alisa,

The extra log in is necessary so the server can confirm that you are someone using the Tarot Zone rather than someone casually surfing the internet or trying to download the decks using another web client. What you saw at start-up was the registration form. This only appears after you have upgraded or reinstalled the program. On subsequent occasions it won't reappear.

When you say it creates an empty file, do you mean it creates a very small zip file which is obviously not a deck? If so, could you send me that file? It might give me a clue about what is happening.

Richard,
I just sent the file to the email address you just sent me.

Yes, it is an (empty) zip file that gets created, and will not let you access, as it states it can't locate the file path, and that the file is already in use by another program.

Hi Alisa,

I don't know if you received the email I sent you last night? I haven't received the file. Barbara has also reported this problem so at least you are not alone. I asked her to send one of the empty zip files but I haven't received one from her either.

If the other address I gave you isn't working, perhaps you could try sending the file to bugs@orphalese.net? It would be nice to try and get a fix for this bug into the version I am working on at the moment.

Cheers

Hi King of the Divan!

I just emailed, to the error email addy, the two empty zips. The empty files won't attached!

Its the third email of zips I have emailed to the error addy. So, I'm thinking...these empty zip files are really just figments of our imaginations and we must have entered OPTs twighlight zone! LOLOLOL!

Hope you get the 3rd email I sent today and today is Tuesday for me in Texas!

Good luck, Richard...I just love the new deck page. Its frustrating, but looks so good! LOLOL!
