Zooming in the Compare Cards Screen

Post by Lasher »

Hi There,

I'm new here and I am loving this wonderful program. I also appreciate all the work folks have done scanning in decks.

I have one question regarding the screen where you can compare cards from different decks. Is there any way to zoom in (enlarge) the cards in that screen? The plus and minus keys do not seem to function here. Am I missing something?

And if this feature does not yet exist, could it be added in a future release? At the present size it is difficult to compare details because the cards are displayed so small. With the ability to resize the cards, this Compare Cards Screen would be an incredibly powerful tool.

Thank You!

I belive you are right......

I also belive you can manage to do this in another way, by building a deck of deck. I posted a recepie for card notes and I will copy that discription here....then use it the same way...I tried it out...and with some patient it worked....then we have to hope Richard come up with a solution if the demand is great:)

The deck of deck you build this way:)

First put out those card you will compare....let us say 12 diffrent deck

Now when you have them out on the main window.just left click 1 time on each card...starting with deck number 12 working up to 1. (you will only see the back of 1 card....but there will be 11 under it when you are finish)

Now take option for the deck...be sure to unmark shuffle when gathering card, then sort your card in that way you wil display your compare card accsending for most of us...starting with card 00 to xx

Now if you just put out the first card from the deck you made...it should be the same card as stay as number 1 in compare card.

Then..In order to compare notes you use the arrow in the lower third of the deck to change from deck to deck until all are displayed....then gather card, and next time you put out 2 card before you start the cycle between decks, or you could put out one card when you reach card 12 on first round and cykle the deck backward.

You still flip the card in the lower third of the deck, but you have to choose zoom each time you will inspect a card closer and then close the zoom window before you take a closer look on the next card.

Good luck:)

Thank you, Rhutobello. Very creative.

Hopefully, that feature will be added to the Compare Cards screen. What do the rest of you think? Is there a demand...?

Thx for nice words, glad it works:)

But in order for me to be creative, a program must allow this to happen, that is the great thing with Orphalese it has not so thight borders so it allow the user to expriment....so I share willingtly with the program itself:):):)

Hi Dave,

You probably already saw this, but in case you hadn't, when you maximize the window the cards also grow along with the rest of the page.

Cheers
Richard
