Version 7.0.0.12 Card notes too transparent

This was a problem with the previous version. Some card notes are too transparent to be able to read them, or sometimes even see them. Any suggestions?

This bug has been reported here before but unfortunately I haven't been able to fix it because I can't recreate it on my own machine. What I have done is add an option to not use fade effects at all. This should make the notes appear as normal, opaque windows (which is also how anyone will see them if they are running the program on Windows 98, a platform which doesn't support transparency).

You can find this on

Options Form >> General Settings >> Program Tab >> Use Fade Effects for Pop-up Notes

I am using v7 beta and having this problem. Use fade effects not an option on current menu. Does this mean I need to uninstall and download and reinstall? [and thus need a new license number?]

Hi Kwaw,

I don't remember off the top of my head when I added that option, at any rate it would be on the options form not the menu (I guess that's what you meant though). If you can't find it there you need to uninstall, download and reinstall as you say, but you won't need a new licence number:

if you registered prior to version 7, ever, or

if you registered after version 7: until version 8 comes out, probably in a year to two's time (and this will be offered at a substantially reduced upgrade price for existing users).
