Errors I am getting from microsoft

I figured out what i was doing. I open a deck, use the arrow key to send out cards five or six to see if the notes are there. It is when i regather these cards that the program shuts down and I received the error message.

yep....same error as I have on a few deck.

Have tried beta ver on work....but only with 3 decks and have no problems there. If few have the problems it might be due to the graphic card, I have Radeon 300x/500x serie. The deck I often get error message on is Timless Truth and if you notice just before the error message comes, the card will freez for a split second.

Karen, when you say you deal with the arrow key, does that mean you are in Free Selection Mode when the error occurs? And does that apply to you too Rhutobello?

I am also interested in this link to notes. Could you try turning off card notes by deselecting the Popup Notes option on the main menu and see if it makes any difference to these errors?

For me it always happen in main mode....when you shall deal out card from any choosen deck.

It never happen when you deal out.....you can put the whole deck on display and no error.

It happen when you use the command gather card..(not under gathering...but in auto shuffle).or shuffle card and are very random the way I see it.

Some deck's have no problem....other do.....

If you have got the error and start opalese right away...you most likely get the error fast agein on that deck.

If you restart the PC and try with the same deck...it take longer time to reproduce the fault.

That's why I belive it can be something with graphich card..drivers..but I am no expert....and I have no problems on any other powerhungry graphich presentation (hehehehe games and so:))

Huuummm....maybe we can narrow it a bit..

Agein deck used Timless Truth....

50 times shuffle command without notes ...no problem
30 times shuffle command with notes.....no problem
1 time deal out....gather card auto shuffle....error....(cardnotes on)

Start agein without restart PC
10 times only shuffle with card notes.....np
1 time deal out...gather..autoshuffle...error. (cardnotes on)

New start....same procedure same resoult. (card notes on)

Restarted PC.
Deal out gather autoshuffle...error. (card notes on)
Then a light......card notes off
20 times deal out gather card...autoshuffle....all ok
(to little work to give a solution....but hopefully an arrow)

Well it seems since shuffle all the time gives no error... the graphic card might not be the big bad wulf...so my royal King of Sofan hopefully you figure it out:):)

Forgot to state:
Have used the deck for almost a year....there have been no problems with it prior to ver 7.

Yes, I am in the free selection where i can use the arrow key to pull cards, with notes on. I use this to find which decks have notes. I did not have this problem before just since beta ver 7. This is how i also add all the notes for a deck. They are talking about timeless truth but it is happening to more than timeless truth.

I can make this happen now. On command. :)

Rhutobello turned the popup notes off and the error stopped happening. Can you stop the error happening by turning off card notes too?

Yes, If I turn the popup notes off I do stay connected and no error reports.
:) I see that light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes...I see that light too! Thanks mostly to the very helpful feedback you have both provided I think I have got the problem fixed now. I just uploaded a new beta (7.0.0.8) - could you give it a try? I would like to get the sign-off from one or both of you before releasing version 7 tomorrow, as this was a critical bug which would put people off using the program.

I did finally manage to reproduce it for myself, by using the ToTT, dealing out a lot of cards, pressing Control-G to gather and then pressing Control-S to shuffle while the cards were still being collected. The significance of ToTT is either that it is quite a graphically rich and heavy deck, or that it has quite long texts, or a combination of both.
