Orphalese for Translation Fun

Post by jambalaya »

Obviously people who are bilingual or trilingual etc. already do this, but I recently bought some oracles and playing cards that are in French so I could have fun translating them and practicing my rudimentary high school French. I want to do it myself rather than asking someone to translate for me--the
nuances in translation are fun for word play.

AND I have this great Orphalese program that I can scan cards into and there are notes so that I can type both the French and my English translation. One oracle I have (Jeu de la Conscience de Ioana) uses positive and negative clarifying cards, but they are easily translatable on-the-fly with the actual cards, it's the bigger cards with more complicated passages that I would scan in to keep notes on in Orphalese.

Makes buying foreign language decks easier--lots of great art on some of those.
