The readings do nor appear in the readings management and the reading notes windows. The reading file looks empty though I have several readings in it.

Make sure you options>program options>folders is showing the correct location.
It didn't happen to me this upgrade, but I had this happen to me in the past. It reverted to a default location for the readings and I don't keep them in the default location.
Might not be what is going on but it's a thought :o)

I already check the folders options and it is OK. But still the readings are missing.

I don't have any idea what could have happened there. What happens if you do a Windows search using Explorer - can you find them like that? If you search for files or folders with the filter *.reading it should find them.
