How do you...?

Post by listedasmyguide »

I'm trying to create a spread with the Sun as the first card always. How do I do this?

HI LISA!!!!

I can answer this one! :0)

You can't designate a certain card for a certain placement, while creating a spread. :0(

BUT, after you are done creating the spread and you are ready to use it, don't let Orphalese lay your cards out. Click Free Selection and find the Sun card that way! Its real easy cause I do it too!!

Barb,

Do you mean, don't use the Spread function at all, but do the spread from memory? I've tried doing free selection, pulling out the Sun, then running the spread from there, but it just shuffles the Sun back into the deck. I know I could hunt for the Sun after I lay a spread, but then my concern is that the Sun will appear in one of the reading spots, and it's not supposed to. Am I missing something?

Lisa,
I guess I did leave out a step or two for you, I'm sorry.

Yes, I do use the spread function.
When the program lets me have the choice to chose my cards, I will chose free selection.
This means I have to chose ALL the cards for the spread.

After the free selection is open, open up the spread you want to use.
This will open up a popup box and show you the card layout/your spread.
Just make sure you pull the sun for position one FIRST box/card position! Then it will go to the 1st card position.

All the other cards you have to pull the same way, by clicking on the top of each card.

Hope this is more help!

Oh, right! I was thinking of it as a four card spread and it really needs to be a five card. Got it! Thanks!
